How We'll Work Together

Sessions grounded in attachment, somatic awareness, and your own cultural context, whether you're working through grief, relationship patterns, or simply want a space to be fully yourself.

What I Work With

I work with adults on grief and loss, relational wounds and attachment patterns, childhood and sexual trauma, depression, anxiety and feeling stuck, ADHD management, and general mental wellness.

I also offer couples therapy for partners who want to build healthier ways of relating to each other, and I support co-parents who are navigating a breakup while raising children together. I'm a queer-affirming therapist, and I welcome queer individuals and couples. Here, you can bring your whole self without having to explain or defend who you are.

You don't need a diagnosis, or even a name for what you're going through, to reach out.

A garden seat, a quiet space to sit with yourself

In Person, Outdoors & Online

We can meet in the therapy room in Nairobi, outdoors on an ecotherapy walk, or online, whichever setting helps you settle. Online sessions mean you can work with me from anywhere in the world. If you're a Kenyan living abroad, you get a therapist who understands where you come from, without having to explain the context first.

Group Work & Healing Circles

Not all healing happens one-on-one. I also facilitate group therapy and different healing circles, including a suicide grief healing circle and a mother wound circle. These are spaces held collectively, where you sit with others carrying similar kinds of pain and don't have to hold it alone. You can ask about upcoming circles through the form below.

What Happens Next

  1. 1
Reach out. Fill in the short form below. I'll get back to you within 2 to 3 days.
  2. 2
A free 10-minute call. We'll talk briefly about what brings you here, you can ask me anything, and we'll see whether working together feels right. There's no cost and no commitment.
  3. 3
Your first session. The first session is mostly about listening. You can tell me what's brought you here, in whatever order it comes out, and I'll ask a few questions about your life, your relationships, and what you're hoping for. You won't be asked to share more than you're ready to, and by the end we'll have a sense of where to begin, together.

I don't work with insurance, so sessions are paid directly.

Your Privacy

What you share with me stays between us. Your records are kept securely and are never shared without your written consent. The only exceptions are the ones every therapist works within: if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, if a child's safety is at risk, or if a court orders it. If any of these ever come up, I'll talk it through with you first wherever I can.

Ready When You Are

You'll be working directly with me, Mel. If it feels right to start, I'd love to hear from you.
